Daily Proverb

This plugin displays a daily proverb from the book of Proverbs. The daily verses are preset, however, in the admin panel there are options to set your preferred verse for the day.

Also, good news! The book of Proverbs comes pre-installed in 25+ languages. For faster loading, there are no external API calls or any other external credentials needed. Just install the plugin, select your language, insert the shortcode in a post or page, and watch as the verse change daily.

Please note! For this to work properly, you should have your WordPress timezone setting set to your current timezone.

Usage

Parameters

• ‘class’ = CSS class, default is ‘dpv_class’.
• ‘id’ = CSS id, default is ‘dpv_id’.
• ‘tag’ = Tag element of verse container, default is ‘p’ which is translated'<p>’. (e.g. ‘div’,’span’)
• ‘color’ = Color of verse text, default is your default site text color. (e.g. green, #00FF00, rgb(0,255,0))
• ‘bcolor’ = Background color of the verse, default is none. (e.g. green, #00FF00, rgb(0,255,0))
• ‘rcolor’ = Verse reference color, default is same as verse text. (e.g. green, #00FF00, rgb(0,255,0))
• ‘rbcolor’ = Verse reference background color, default is none. (e.g. green, #00FF00, rgb(0,255,0))

• ‘version’ = This is to display the version after the scripture citation (e.g). Default is ‘version=”show”‘, just set version to “hide” to turn off the version citation.
